Yukon is a territory of Canada with a common-law legal system in the English tradition. Legislative power is exercised by the Yukon Legislative Assembly, a unicameral body operating under the federal Yukon Act (SC 2002, c. 7); primary legislation is enacted as Statutes of the Yukon and, together with regulations, is consolidated and published on the Government of Yukon's official legislation website (laws.yukon.ca) and in the Yukon Gazette.
