Connect Lawstronaut to ChatGPT
Turn on Developer mode, then add Lawstronaut as a custom MCP app. Available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans — ChatGPT web only.
Plus and Pro plans
Go to Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
Back in Settings → Apps, click Create app.
Enter name “Lawstronaut”, MCP URL https://mcp.lawstronaut.com, auth OAuth with the Client ID + Secret from the Developer Portal.
Click Scan Tools, complete the OAuth sign-in, then click Create.
In a chat, open + → Developer mode and select Lawstronaut.
Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans
Only admins/owners can enable Developer mode (Enterprise/Edu admins can grant access via RBAC).
Admin: follow steps 1–4 above, then publish from Workspace settings → Apps → Drafts → Publish.
Members: once published, enable Lawstronaut from your Apps settings and use it in chat.
Test your connection
Ask ChatGPT: “Compare data-breach notification deadlines in Germany vs. France and cite each statute.”
